To stop Microsoft Edge from auto-starting on Windows 11, you
can follow these steps:
Open Microsoft Edge on your Windows 11 computer.
Click on the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner of
the Edge window.
From the drop-down menu, select "Settings."
In the Settings menu, click on "System" in the
left sidebar.
Scroll down to the "Startup, home page, and new
tab" section.
Under the "Startup" heading, you will find the
option "Open Microsoft Edge with." By default, it is set to
"Start page" or "New tab page."
Click on the drop-down menu and select "Previous
pages" or "A specific page or pages."
"Previous pages" will open the same set of
webpages that were open when you last closed Edge.
"A specific page or pages" will allow you to set
custom webpages that will open when you start Edge.
If you chose "A specific page or pages," click on
the "Add new page" button to enter the URL of the webpage you want
Edge to open.
Once you have made your selection, close the Settings menu.
From now on, Microsoft Edge should no longer auto-start when
you boot up your Windows 11 computer. It will only launch when you manually
open the application or when you open a link from another program.
